Everyone has a dream of making it big on the internet or starting an offline business but Most people fail for very simple reasons.

People trying to make it online fail because they never finish and market a product properly, they are constantly buying product after product and never finishing any project and actually selling there own products online.

Does that sound familiar?

Offline business fail or stand still because the owner doesn’t market there business using a combination of offline and online marketing strategies.

Businesses like restaurants and hairdressers have large amounts of customers coming to there businesses every week and yet most don’t even have auto responders on there websites so that they can build mailing lists of very targeted customers.

Every small to medium business that isn’t actively building a mailing list is literally throwing thousands of pounds per year away.

The ability to be able to contact your customers every week gives you a huge advantage over your competitors who just open there doors and wait to see what happens.

Succeeding in business takes determination, drive and an undying belief that the big break is around the corner. A combination of offline and online marketing strategies can see you through the dark times of this recession.

In the next post we will cover more marketing strategies that will help you succeed online

Best Gary.

Hi guys & girls

I want to share this with the readers of my blog in the hope it helps anyone who is looking to get a bit of extra traffic to there website or make money promoting affiliate products.

I have a product for sale on clickbank that details how I help people become powersellers on ebay www.auctionrichesblueprint.com

I have been using simple cd reports and paper products listed on eBay to drive buyers to my site.

Here’s the process.

I create a simple fifteen to twenty page report and list on eBay for sale. I sell it as a cd and paper report. Giving me two products for sale from the one product, by the way anyone who buys the paper report gets the cd free.

I do this because the cd has bonus items with links straight to my site. I sell the paper product for 11 dollars roughly (I’m in the UK) and the cd on its own for 5 dollars roughly.

I always have two types of links in the reports which are to my product and affiliate links to products I have used myself that I know will benefit the buyers of the report

I got a number of affiliate sales this month for ebay related software and eBooks.

The amount of hops or click thru’s to my own product website has been incredible.

I have a nice clickbank cheque with a release date of the 26th of this month for sales of my own product.

Over the next few weeks I will be releasing more info reports with resale rights as well as using article, squidoo and hubpages marketing to drive more traffic to my product on clickbank.

So to summarise to get lots of targeted traffic to my main product I

No1: I create a fifteen to twenty page report with links to my main site.

No2: I add affiliate links to products I rate highly that I know will benefit the buyers

No3: I list the same report in two different formats, paper and cd and at 2 price points.

No4: I give away bonus items that all link back to my clickbank product.

I hope this post helps those members that need a bit more traffic to there site or affiliate products. It has worked for me so it will work for anyone else who takes action.

Regards

Gary

P.S. I will keep you informed of the results of my marketing efforts.

The resource box

When you have written your article we come to the most important part of article marketing.

The infamous resource box. This is where you get to promote your website, blog or eBay shop. The mistake most make is to write something like this.

Gary Gowan is an eBay consultant who teaches companies and individuals how to become powersellers in 90 days.  Who cares what I can do, the reader of the article certainly doesn’t.

They want to know what’s in it for them. A better resource box would say something like this.

If you want to become a powerseller and earn thousands of dollars a month on ebay learn how at www.auctionrichesblueprint.com

Now that resource box speaks to the reader and will get you lots of visitors to your website.

That’s all for today

There’s one aim in article marketing, getting as much targeted traffic to your website as possible.

If your article is well written, solves problems and provides valuable information there is the chance that you could drive swarms of eager buying traffic to your website or eBay shop.

Article tips.

Try to get your main keyword in your sub headline.

Put your main keyword in the first 20 words at least twice. Then try to fit the keyword in the middle of the article once and again at least once at the end of the article.

Just doing this alone will get you more targeted traffic. So think about the keywords people in your niche use and write individual articles for all the keywords.

Today let’s talk about article marketing.

Article marketing is one of the oldest, yet best ways to market any product.

Driving traffic to an affiliate site or your own website couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is write an original article or buy a bunch of plr articles and submit them to the top article directories.

Article writing tips.

Pick a great headline and try to get your main keyword in the article.

Something along the lines of  “the one secret that could make you rich”

Someone who wants to earn money and sees that headline would be drawn to it. Who wouldn’t want to know the one secret that could make you rich?

Or how about “the seven secrets to affiliate marketing riches” again a headline that makes you sit up and take notice if you want to make money as an affiliate marketer.

After the headline you need a good sub headline, about 400 words of compelling body text and a great resource box that speaks to your target market.

When you have all of the above completed it’s time to submit your article.

Next time we will have a look at the sub headline and body copy.

There are many ways to market the affiliate product you’ve decided to promote.  article marketing works great as does promoting the product to your mailing list if you have one.

if you have’nt start building one now. get started building one now.

The quickest way though to get traffic quickly to test a market is pay per click advertising. google, yahoo and msn have very good pay per click programs.

here’s a few tips if your thinking of using pay per click marketing.  test the product by only bidding on the product and creators name.

For instance if i was promoting john thornhill’s powerseller program, i would bid on the following keywords.

john thornhill, ninety day powerseller.com, john thornhill review, ninety day powerseller.com review. buy ninety day powerseller.com

These are very targeted keywords, anyone putting these keywords into google is ready to buy.  always start a new campaign like this to test the market.

Never start a pay per click campaign with general keywords like make money, unless you want to throw away your hard earned cash.

Next time we will cover article marketing, one of my favourites.

Gary

In the second part of our beginners affiliate marketing course we are going to look at how to pick a great product to promote.

There are certain criteria that you must follow when picking product.

The product must have a great sales letter, a great headline followed by a compelling sales letter that makes you want to buy the product.

In fact when you finally decide on a product I would actually buy the thing and read it. This will give you a good feeling for the product and help you focus on the benefits it offers to your market.

When you head over to clickbank.com and find your niche, sort everything by gravity. The products with high gravity offer you the best chance of sales.

Check out all the sales letters of the top products and sign up to receive the newsletters of the top 5 on your list. This will give you a good idea of who has a good autoresponder series in place.

Do all the above and your on you’re on your way to picking a product that will sell.

Here’s a few links to good sales letters in different niches. This will give you an idea of what you’re looking for.

Affiliate marketing for beginners.

When starting out on your affiliate marketing career the first thing to do is pick a niche to promote.

What you need to do is write down a list of your top 10 favorite hobbies.

For me this would be

Selling on eBay                                    affiliate marketing

Writing                                                 football

Biking                                                  Reading

Sales and marketing                             martial arts

Nutrition                                              spending time with my two kids

Stage 1: After you have your list what you need to do is head over to www.clickbank.com and find out if people are selling related products there.  Check the gravity to see if it’s a popular niche, gravity over 15 is ok. If there’s products with good gravity keep them on your list and go to stage two of identifying a profitable niche.

Stage two:  plug your list into Google’s search engine and see if there are lots of pay per click ads. If there is your ok, if not cross it of your list.

Stage 3: head over to eBay.com and look for good info products on your subject, check out completed listings to see if the niche sells well on eBay.

On eBay you’ll find quality info products for a few bucks so buy a couple of books and have a good read so you can get an idea of what type of info products people are buying.

Once you’ve done this your on your way to guaranteeing you will be promoting a profitable niche.

In a few days well look at how to pick the best product to promote and then marketing the products for big bucks. Follow this course, take action and soon you’ll be making your first dollars online.
