Affiliate marketing part 2

In the second part of our beginners affiliate marketing course we are going to look at how to pick a great product to promote.

There are certain criteria that you must follow when picking product.

The product must have a great sales letter, a great headline followed by a compelling sales letter that makes you want to buy the product.

In fact when you finally decide on a product I would actually buy the thing and read it. This will give you a good feeling for the product and help you focus on the benefits it offers to your market.

When you head over to clickbank.com and find your niche, sort everything by gravity. The products with high gravity offer you the best chance of sales.

Check out all the sales letters of the top products and sign up to receive the newsletters of the top 5 on your list. This will give you a good idea of who has a good autoresponder series in place.

Do all the above and your on you’re on your way to picking a product that will sell.

Here’s a few links to good sales letters in different niches. This will give you an idea of what you’re looking for.

Affiliate marketing for beginners

Affiliate marketing for beginners.

When starting out on your affiliate marketing career the first thing to do is pick a niche to promote.

What you need to do is write down a list of your top 10 favorite hobbies.

For me this would be

Selling on eBay                                    affiliate marketing

Writing                                                 football

Biking                                                  Reading

Sales and marketing                             martial arts

Nutrition                                              spending time with my two kids

Stage 1: After you have your list what you need to do is head over to www.clickbank.com and find out if people are selling related products there.  Check the gravity to see if it’s a popular niche, gravity over 15 is ok. If there’s products with good gravity keep them on your list and go to stage two of identifying a profitable niche.

Stage two:  plug your list into Google’s search engine and see if there are lots of pay per click ads. If there is your ok, if not cross it of your list.

Stage 3: head over to eBay.com and look for good info products on your subject, check out completed listings to see if the niche sells well on eBay.

On eBay you’ll find quality info products for a few bucks so buy a couple of books and have a good read so you can get an idea of what type of info products people are buying.

Once you’ve done this your on your way to guaranteeing you will be promoting a profitable niche.
